Authors Note: This response was written based on the novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. It describes how the tough things in life only make things easier as life goes on. Also the quote "What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger"plays a large roll in this response.

Fahrenheit 451 Response
Everything you own burned, everything you stood for gone, everyone you thought you could trust have turned against you. At this moment in time you feel lost and completely hopeless, wishing there was some way out of this chaos. Suddenly you feel dizzy and the world starts spinning. These crazy emotions are what Montag felt when everything he thought he knew wasn’t true.
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. When this quote is applied to Montag’s life it fits like a glove. Everything he had was destroyed, his life is a nightmare and he wishes he could just wake up. He has to have strength to keep himself from giving up everything. At this ironic point in Montag’s life he had to keep strength, faith, and hope otherwise his life would have been pointless.
Although Montag wished he could wake up from this nightmare, he did keep faith which is what kept his life from being unbearable. Strength is what will always keep us happy and from not giving in to life’s temptations. When our journey down winding roads takes a turn for the worse always remember to keep faith and hope with you.
